The film's director, Dito Montiel, is seeking boys to play 15 year old versions of Channing Tatum and Terrence Howard, and they're also looking for girls who look like they're 15.

Jonathan White (Channing Tatum) had a rough childhood. His father, a cop, was killed in the line of duty, and Jonathan was raised by his grandmother in the Queensbridge Projects in Queens, NY. He had a lot of friends, and he was the only white kid, so they called him Milk. Milk and his closest friends were going to start a hardcore punk band and become stars like their favorite band, “MDC (Millions of Dead Cops)”. But fate intervened. Milk and his friends were always hassled by a couple of neighborhood junkies, until one day Milk had enough and killed one of the junkies. In the Coens' screenplay, "True Grit" will be told from the point of view of Mattie Ross. The movie will begin in 1928, at a point when Mattie tells how she avenged her father's murder back in 1873, when she was only 14 years old.
The casting directors, Rachel Tenner and Ellen Chenoweth, are seeking the following:
Mattie Ross: Female. Caucasian. 12-16 years of age. Mattie is a simple, tough-as-nails young woman. Story:
A post-Katrina-themed drama that chronicles the rebuilding of New Orleans through the eyes of local musicians. Pierce will play Antoine Batiste, an accomplished jazz trombonist who is now scratching for gigs, trying to support a live-in girlfriend and a new baby, while still carrying a torch for a failed marriage to Ladonna Batiste (Alexander), the mother of his two children, who is single-handedly keeping her bar afloat. Peters will play Albert Lambreaux, a big chief of the White Feather Nation trying to bring the tribe's members home.
David Simon co-created the project with longtime New Orleans resident Eric Overmyer, after the two former "Homicide" writers had discussed doing a show set in the Big Easy for years.
Filming begins in mid-November, 2009. Only people local to the New Orleans area should submit or attend the open casting call. Accommodations and transportation is not provided to people outside the greater New Orleans area. If you are interested in working on the show, please follow the guidelines below.

Black Hills Casting Call in Rapid City, South Dakota. BBM Studios and KEVN-FOX TV will host this local event to gather people of all ages for fresh talent and casting pool on Saturday, September 26, 2009. They plan to congregate people of all types from the Black Hills area to fit the variety of talent and casting needs in which the local advertising industry is currently short. The talent is being sought for Local event to gather people of all ages as talent for work in commercials, videos and other advertising mediums.
“We need an array of new faces to add to our casting pool, from young children to grandparents, with seasoned faces and from all walks of life,” said Robert Sharp, owner and president of BBM Studios, a division of South Dakota marketing agency Robert Sharp & Associates. “The search is perfect for locals to sign up and get started on a creative project that earns some extra cash - whether being a lead in a commercial or simply an extra on a film set.”
The search is open to those of all ages, with no experience required, who are interested in or who might enjoy being in commercials, movies, print ads, and reenactments made locally in the Black Hills area. Those interested can come to the registration event, fill out a registration form, have a snapshot taken and then enjoy the excitement of being part of a local casting group. “We need an array of new faces to add to our casting pool, from young children to grandparents, with seasoned faces and from all walks of life,” said Robert Sharp, owner and president of BBM Studios, a division of South Dakota marketing agency Robert Sharp & Associates. “The search is perfect for locals to sign up and get started on a creative project that earns some extra cash - whether being a lead in a commercial or simply an extra on a film set.”
The search is open to those of all ages, with no experience required, who are interested in or who might enjoy being in commercials, movies, print ads, and reenactments made locally in the Black Hills area. Those interested can come to the registration event, fill out a registration form, have a snapshot taken and then enjoy the excitement of being part of a local casting group. KEVN-FOX TV and BBM Studios will both make use of the casting pool for upcoming projects.
Additionally, those not able to attend the event are invited to join the Black Hills Casting Call group on Facebook in order to keep posted about opportunities in the Black Hills as they become available.
Those involved in the Facebook group will be able to interact with one another and communicate with BBM Studios staff. “We want our talent pool to be able to have an easy way to interact with one another and find out about upcoming commercials, films and more,” said Sharp.
The Black Hills Casting Call will be located in The Dahl Gift Shop area and applicants can enter The Dahl through the new Seventh Street doors that lead directly to the casting call area. RSA staff members will be onsite gathering registrations, meeting registrants, taking pictures, and answering questions.

A major casting call for Disney's "Secretariat" will be held Sunday at the Cajundome in Louisiana. The casting director is asking for experienced horse handlers and trainers. The film chronicles the life story of Penny Chenery, owner of the race horse "Secretariat" who won the Triple Crown in 1973.
In addition, they are seeking photo doubles for stars Diane Lane, John Malkovich, Dylan Walsh and Nelsan Ellis.
More than 4,000 extras are also needed for the film, much of which is being shot and produced in Acadiana region of Louisiana this year. People of all ages, races and ethnicities are needed, as are actors and actresses to play hippie-type characters, military and police officers, media reporters, and people with 1970s cars, horse trailers and RVs.

Feeling lost and disconnected with no family of his own, veteran Sherman Oliver sets out to the countryside in search of the soldier who saved him back in the war. Upon arriving, Sherman seems at first a harmless if awkward shell of a man. Benson, a popular young actor in the 1970’s and 1980’s, has become more prominent behind the camera as the years have passed. He is a teacher if the respected film school at New York University, and has directed several films in recent years. Josh Lucas will have a prominent role as Yankee captain Thurman Munson.
The interior and exterior of the “old’ Yankee stadium will be making its final public appearance when the movie is shown. Other scenes will be shot in the Bronx neighborhood where the stadium is located. Filming will take place from August 31, 2009 - October 16, 2009. Story:
Meteors shoot into the ocean a couple of miles off the coast of Los Angeles. Minutes later, beachgoers witness a strange alien like army oozing out of the water. These aliens are nasty, they're fast, and they kill on site. Within seconds they're shredding the suntanning populace to pieces and moving into the city of Santa Monica. Marine Sgt. Nantz leads his new platoon against a surprise attack on Los Angeles, attempting to rescue civilians in Santa Monica and destroy the hub of the enemy's mysterious power grid, while similar epic battles are waged across the world in other cities.
The film will spend a month shooting in Shreveport, LA during September before moving to Baton Rouge’s Raleigh Studios at the Celtic Media Centre, where the movie will film through early December.
