Verizon and Univision Television Group are seeking one talented Spanish-speaking soccer enthusiast to become the official Reporter for Verizon and a member of Univision's sports team providing live coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup soccer matches in South Africa.
Interested applicants can audition live or submit a video online via Univision.com highlighting their ability to report; knowledge of sports; creativity; overall personality in front of the camera; and why they should be chosen as a Reportero para Verizon for Univision. The winner will be selected based on those criteria.
Beginning Saturday, April 17, 2010 and through May 10, 2010, Verizon and local Univision stations in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Phoenix, San Diego, Philadelphia, Tampa, Boston and Washington, D.C., will host auditions at locations listed below.
Information and updates about the casting calls are available at Univision.com. Univision and Verizon will also host another round of casting during major events in Los Angeles at Fiestas Broadway on April 24, 2010 and at Cinco de Mayo events in New York and Dallas on May 2, 2010.
