Open casting call for 'Kong: Skull Island'

The Universal Pictures feature film "Kong: Skull Island" will begin shooting in Hawaii in October, 2015 and there is now an open casting call scheduled for Saturday September 26, 2015. All ages and types are needed, adults and kids, union and non-union. There are hundreds of roles available, and there is no previous experience necessary. These are fully paid roles.

"Kong: Skull Island" takes place years after the original film. In 1933, American showman Carl Denham returned from a mysterious, hidden island with a priceless treasure. A treasure not gold or jewels, but the island's barbaric god, a monstrous anthropoid called "Kong." The savage giant escaped and wreaked havoc among the man-made canyons of Manhattan, but within hours of the giant ape's death his body, and Carl Denham, disappeared. Many years later, the son of Carl Denham makes a shocking discovery that leads him back to the site of his father's greatest adventure and to the answers that will unlock the century's greatest mystery and history's greatest miracle.

The film stars BAFTA Awards nominee Tom Hiddleston, Critics Choice Award nominee Brie Larson, Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson, and Academy Award nominee John C. Reilly. Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize winner Jordan Vogt-Roberts will direct "Kong: Skull Island" from a screenplay written by Academy Award nominee John Gatins, Academy Award nominee Dan Gilroy, Independent Spirit Awards winner Derek Connolly, and Max Borenstein. Black Reel Awards nominee Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni will produce for Legendary Pictures. Mary Parent will also produce. Executive producers are Alex Garcia and Eric McLeod. "Kong: Skull Island" is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 10, 2017
