AB Media Publishing, LLC

Freedom Films in association with Nome Productions are now in pre-production on the upcoming true story adventure feature film "Race to Save Nome," based on the Great Race of Mercy - also known as the 1925 serum run to Nome. An open casting call is scheduled for all types, ages 8 - 70, males and females. There are some speaking roles being cast, as well as numerous extras. Shooting will take place from January 14, 2013 through April 4, 2013 in the Morley, Alberta area of Canada which is about 30 miles from Calgary. Second-unit production filming will also take place in Alaska. The reason for shooting the film in Alberta is because the production involves the construction of the town of Nome, which would present a significant logistical challenge in Alaska, particularly without roads to deliver the setpiece.

The film tells the true story of a deadly diphtheria outbreak that occurred in Nome in the dead of winter 1925. Since the fastest way to deliver the serum was by dog sled, 20 brave mushers and their dogs battled horrific arctic conditions in a relay to save lives in Nome, which was was dubbed the "Great Race of Mercy". The story especially centers on Norwegian Leonhard "Sepp" Seppala and his lead dog Togo, who were the true unsung heroes of the run as together they covered the longest and most hazardous leg - 91 miles from Shaktoolik to Golovin. Sepp had become something of a legend for his athletic ability and rapport with his Siberian Huskies. His lead dog Togo was equally famous for his leadership, intelligence, and ability to sense danger.

Starring in "Race to Save Nome" is two-time Daytime Emmy Award nominee Brian Presley as Leonhard "Sepp" Seppala; Golden Globe Award nominee Kurt Russell plays Dr. Curtis Welch, Nome's sole doctor; Two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank is Sepp's wife Constance, and Dr. Welch's head nurse. Also in the film is Primetime Emmy nominated Giovanni Ribisi; two-time Golden Globe Award nominee Sam Elliott; Academy Award and Golden Globe Award nominee William H. Macy; and Golden Globe Award winner John Goodman.

In addition to starring in "Race to Save Nome," Brian Presley is also producing and directing from a screenplay that he wrote with Warren Davis. Presley is CEO and partner of Freedom Films, which specializes in the development and production of studio quality, independently financed motion pictures. Presley is set to produce over $200 million worth of film projects over the next four years through a highly promising slate of films. Freedom Films Head of Production Scott Robinson will executive produce.

Story:

Race to Save Nome is based on the incredible events in 1925, when a deadly diphtheria epidemic swept through the secluded, forgotten city of Nome, Alaska. The local doctor Curtis Welch (Kurt Russel) discovers that he has no antitoxin and without this, more children will die, possibly in the thousands. The life-saving serum is 674 miles away, the port is completely icebound and planes are not able to withstand the blizzard-like conditions. The only hope of getting the serum to Nome is by means of dog-sled. Through treacherous conditions and with little chance of survival, a team of mushers relay the serum to the desperate city. One man, Leonhard "Sepp" Seppala (Brian Presley), and his dog Togo took on the most difficult and longest route of the relay. Never truly credited for their heroism, this is the true, courageous and heart-warming story of Sepp and his dog, Togo.

Major feature film international talent search for boy to star in 'Christ The Lord'

Feature Film Christ The Lord Talent Search

Filming on "Christ The Lord" begins March, 2013 in Italy.
AB Media Publishing, LLC

From the Academy Award winning producers of three Harry Potter films comes the upcoming epic feature film "Christ The Lord," based on the best-selling novel "Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt" by Anne Rice. The casting directors are accepting online self-taped video auditions from boys ages 7-10 to play the starring role of Jesus as a child. Filming begins on March 6, 2013 and will continue through the end of May, 2013. There will also be 2-4 weeks paid rehearsal prior to filming. The shoot will take place in Rome and Matera, Italy. This is an opportunity of a lifetime for the person chosen.

In "Christ The Lord," seven-year-old Jesus narrates the story of his extended family's trek from Alexandria, Egypt, to Nazareth. The story opens with the death and resurrection of Eleazer, both of which young Jesus is responsible for. After an angry mob shows up on Joseph and Mary's doorstep, they decide to leave Egypt in favor of the Holy Land, despite the protests of Jesus' teacher and Philo, a nobleman who has taken an interest in the thoughtful boy. But Joseph will not be swayed, and the family sets sail, with aunts, uncles, and cousins in tow as well. The journey is not an easy one, and more hardship awaits them in Jerusalem, which is in turmoil after the death of corrupt King Herod, and in Nazareth, which is overrun with Roman soldiers.

Filmmaker Cyrus Nowrasteh will direct "Christ The Lord" from an adapted screenplay written by himself and his wife Betsy Giffen Nowrasteh. The Nowrastehs became interested in the project after "Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt" author Anne Rice wrote a raving review of the Cyrus Nowrasteh directed film "The Stoning of Soraya M." on her Facebook page. Nowrasteh also wrote and produced the highly controversial ABC/Disney miniseries "The Path to 9/11". Other credits include producing/writing for the Golden Globe Award winning CBS series "Falcon Crest", and writer/director on the Showtime movie "The Day Reagan Was Shot".

Academy Award nominees Chris Columbus and Michael Barnathan, and BAFTA Award winner Mark Radcliffe will produce for 1492 Pictures. The three have produced such films as "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," "Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer," "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian," and "The Help". Patricia Chun is producing for CJ Entertainment. Mike Witherill, Keo Melvin Lee, and Sean Lee will also produce.

Anne Rice has written a second novel in this series titled "Christ the Lord: The Road to Cana," which begins during Jesus' last winter before his baptism in the Jordan and concludes with the miracle at Cana. It is a novel in which we see Jesus during a winter of no rain, endless dust, and talk of trouble in Judea. Rice is currently working on the third book in the series, which will conclude with a fourth novel.

The casting directors in Los Angeles and London are conducting an international talent search for the following:

[Jesus]

He is a very special seven-year-old boy with a buoyant energy and magnetic charm, as well as quiet intensity. In many ways a normal young boy, he is beginning to understand his divine nature; at times we see in him a soulful quality, an unspoken intelligence and a deep stillness. Should have no specific regional accent. They will be looking at boys who are age 7 to 10 and will consider children of any ethnicity.

To be considered, a self-taped audition video can be uploaded to the official "Christ The Lord" casting website hosted by Cast It Talent:
