Open Casting Call for Sarah Jessica Parker film "Did You Ever Hear About the Morgans?" in New Mexico

A new romantic comedy is set to film in New Mexico next month and casting directors need hundreds of extras. The movie "Did You Ever Hear About the Morgans?" stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant.

Casting directors ask applicants to dress in western wear. They are seeking cowboy and cowgirl types, rural Wyoming townspeople types, kids, rodeo types. If you have a pickup truck or horse trailer, bring a snapshot of them.

If you have a recent color snapshot of yourself, please bring it. If not, they will take your photo. All necessary forms will also be available. Shooting will take place from May 5, 2009 to June 5, 2009. Special filming dates May 18-29th (Santa Fe, Galisteo, Los Alamos), and June 1-5th (Roy, NM).

Story:

Third On a Match is the story of two young adults who fall in love and get married. Shortly after she dies in Dec. of 1941 giving birth to their daughter Merri. After being left alone to raise a child he is drafted into WWII after a mix up with the government records. He is forced to give Merri up for adoption and answer to the call of duty. While in Europe he witnesses his best friend being executed by a German officer, and revenge begins to consume him. Will he be able to make it back alive to find his daughter?

Production Dates: May 20th – May 30th

Character Breakdowns:

Jackson: Caucasian, approximately 21 – 24. A young man on the edge of adulthood. A day dreamer - but independent, strong, and has the ability to survive on his own. Trying to find his place in the world.

Amy: Caucasian, approximately 12 - 14. Sister to Jackson. She is still discovering the ways of the world. Beautifully simple and innocent.

Mother: Caucasian, late 40s. Her face holds both happiness and sadness. She loves her son, but is unsure of how to help him.

Father: Caucasian, early to Mid 30s – Handsome, confident, carefree. A man on the beach with his family. Must be comfortable on a horse.

Bearded Man/Photographer: Caucasian, mid 30s. A threatening force yet intriguing.

Gypsy: Late 20s to mid 30s. Long Brown hair. Tan skin. Her movement is fluid like the water, her body seductive, an extension of nature. Must sing a simple song – Appalachian folk tune “The Riddle”

Police Officer: Caucasian, approximately 20 - 27. Feels confident but is young and inexperienced.
