The casting executives for the upcoming feature film "Underworld 4: New Dawn" are conducting a national talent search seeking "a fresh talent to play a pivotal role as a female teenager". Actors can submit a homemade audition video on the studios casting website.
The talent search is part of Sony Pictures Entertainment's launch of a new casting platform for new talent called "Face of The Fan®". The program is designed to help unknown aspiring talent stand out from the crowd and get noticed by key decision-makers to be considered for roles in upcoming major theatrical releases. The "Face of The Fan®" trademark motto is "Turning Today's Fans Into Tomorrow's Stars".
Reprising her role as the character Selene, Kate Beckinsale will take the lead in Screen Gems and Lakeshore Entertainment’s fourth installment of the "Underworld" franchise, and the actress selected from the talent search will co-star alongside Beckinsale.
The project penned by John Hlavin with revisions with J. Michael Straczynski will be produced by Lakeshore Entertainment’s Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi, and Len Wiseman will also co-produce. Screen Gems and Lakeshore Entertainment have hired Swedish directors Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein to co-direct "Underworld 4". Their most recent film directed was "Shelter" starring Julianne Moore. Screen Gems’ Senior Vice President of Production, Scott Strauss will oversee the project for the studio. Screen Gems is a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Underworld 4: New Dawn Talent Search Details
Requirements for consideration:
● Potential candidates must be 18 or older.
● If hired, you must submit verification that you have a legal right to work in the United States.
● If Sony Pictures decides to hire you for the role, you will have to submit to a background check.
How to submit for consideration online:
● Download the Underworld 4 Audition Script Sides (a monologue from Kate Beckinsale's character Selene).
● Upload Headshot. Must be 100k in size or less.
● Click the "Upload Your Photo" button to upload your headshot or use your webcam to snap one.
● Upload your Audition Video. Must be 2 minutes or less. Click "Select a Video" to upload your Audition Video from your computer, or click "Connect to Webcam" to perform your Audition Video and upload it.
● Enter Resume Information. There is a form to enter your previous experience or credits. Limit your entry to 1000 characters or less. If no experience is available, please enter "NA".

All submitted audition videos will be reviewed by a panel of studio casting directors and production executives. Participants who are not selected for this film may still be contacted by casting agents for future roles, if they like your audition video.
Filming on "Underworld 4" is going to be shot in 3-D and will commence on March 7, 2011 in Vancouver, BC. The release date is scheduled for January 20, 2012.
