Open Casting Call for lead role in new Alloy Entertainment series "Private"

Alloy Entertainment, the production company behind Gossip Girls has announced an open casting call for a lead role their new internet based series "Private", the popular teen-mystery novels by author Kate Brian. This is Alloy Entertainment’s second original web series, having recently launched its UTA-backed "Haute and Bothered" on Teen.com.

The Private web series will be directed by Dennie Gordon who has worked on numerous television show and the movie What a Girl Wants. The series is set to begin shooting on June 29th and will wrap on July 15th. The web series will air sometime in July 2009 on the marketing website’s video hub, Teen.com.

Those who want to audition for roles in the web series may download one of three available 60-second scripts for the role of "Kiran", film the video, then upload the short to the website.

Fans will vote for their favorite video and 15 entrants will win prizes. Producers of the show will select their top three favorites who will take part in a reality series and compete for a role on the web show.

June 3rd: Time to submit ends at noon

June 4th: Grand Prize Winners contacted (the Grand Prize is time sensitive! Grand Prize Winners must respond within 3 days to qualify)

June 11th: Voting for Fan Favorites Ends

On or about June 15th: Grand Prize & Fan Favorite Winners Announced

On or about June 22nd to June 25th: Grand Prize Winners film Reality Series

On or about June 29th to July 15th: Winner cast as Kiran films "Private" series

Production Company:

Do NOT send photos and resumes to the production companies (they will most likely end up in the trash can), they do not cast the films. They hire casting directors who sort through the thousands of submissions.
