Principal Actor Casting Calls for "Warrior" in Pittsburgh

"Warrior", a Lionsgate Studios feature filming in Pittsburgh from late April, 2009 to early July, 2009, is currently casting teen actors needed for feature film, “Warrior,” starring Nick Nolte. The casting director, Donna Belajac, is seeking the following:

* Caucasian males, ages 17-20, needed for the role of “Nash”

* Theater/drama experience necessary; improv skills a plus

* Actor must be available to work for several days between April 20-June 22, 2009 and will be paid Screen Actors Guild scale

* Interested candidates should EMAIL or MAIL:

Donna Belajac is also currently looking for IDENTICAL TWIN GIRLS to appear “Warrior.” The girls selected will be playing the daughters of the main characters in the film. She needs two sets of Caucasian identical twins: one set must be or look 2 years of age and the second set must be or look 4 years of age. The girls will need to be somewhat outgoing because they will be asked to interact with the other actors on camera.

The film begins shooting in the Pittsburgh area on April 20 and wrap in late June. Actual shoot dates for the girls will be known in mid April, and cannot be moved for the children’s or parents’ schedules. The girls will be paid customary film rates for their performances.

Open Casting Call for James Franco film in Suffolk, VA

Directors will hold a casting call for a film by actor James Franco on Monday in Suffolk.

The film, called "Herbert White," was written and will be directed by Franco, who starred in the 2008 films "Milk" and " Pineapple Express." Details of the movie's subject have not been released, but directors say they are primarily looking for children's roles.

Please be aware the shoot dates will be April 9th - 12th, so you may have to shoot one of those days depending on the schedule. Shooting locally in Suffolk, Va and surrounding areas.

Here's the list of characters they are casting:

Two sisters, ages 10-13. They will be sitting at the dinner table listening to the mom talk. One line each “Amen”.

Boy, aged 6-10. Also sitting at the dinner table listening to mom talk. One line- “Amen”.

Young Herbert -aged 14-18. This is the type of young man who’s grown up on a farm and knows how to handle animals. He is introverted and brooding. 5 scenes. (In real life they'd like someone who is not afraid of animals because this person will be around goats, also someone who isn't very shy.

Mom – early 40’s, worn down and drunk. Backwoods type. 3 scenes

Dad – early 40s, drunk, loud, redneck. 4 scenes

Daughter – this is a 3 year old girl that can fit into a safety seat in a car.

Son – aged 5-9. Dark blond hair. Has 2 lines.

Wife of 40 yo Herbert – mid 30’s, she’s a smart alleck, fed up with her husband. One scene.

Girl Victim – aged 17-20. (Miss Peanut type)

Open Casting Call for feature film "Main Street" in Durham, NC

Maxann Crotts-Harvey, the casting director for the feature film "Main Street", is having an open casting call for extras to work on the film. She looking for extras for most any age, all ethnic backgrounds, male and female. She is also seeking children. In addition, she needs group of Latino/Mexicans to work for about 5 days, more or less. Some of these will be truck drivers, and some may do something else. I need Adult male and female Latinos, as well as Latino Children!!! This is a very important scene to the movie!!

If you are wanting to be an extra, please submit your photo by mail to the address above. The above address is where you are to MAIL a photo ONLY!

Anyone under 18 that is cast to be an extra in MAIN STREET must have a workers permit! You will have to have this to work! Once you have been called and cast as an extra, please go to this site and get the YOUTH EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATE/PERMIT.

Once you are called and booked to be an extra, we will give you all the info that you need to fill out the workers permit. You must have a birth certificate and/or a school ID, as well as a Social Security card/number. OR you can have a Passport.

"Main Street" is starring Amber Tamblyn, Orlando Bloom, Colin Firth, Patricia Clarkson, and Ellen Burstyn. The story focuses on a varied group of residents of a small and economically stagnant American city which is facing the consequences of change with the arrival of a mysterious stranger.

Pulitzer Prize-winning dramatist Horton Foote wrote the script. Foote sadly passed away on March 4th, 2009.
