Paramount Pictures feature film Transformers 3 is now in production and director Michael Bay has signed on to direct his third installment of the franchise. Transformers 3 is the working title for the third film in the live action Transformers series, and is the sequel to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The filming locations are set for Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Florida, Texas, Africa, Moscow and China.
Pre-shoots took place starting on April 12, 2010 in Indiana, which will portray Ukraine in the film. Filming will continue in Chicago starting in July, and then will move to Florida in September where extras will also be hired.
The extras casting director in Chicago is holding open casting calls for people who are interested in working as background actors in the film starting in July. Both SAG and non-union extras are welcome to attend. All shapes, sizes, and people of any disability and ethnicity are needed but must be 18 years of age or older.

Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky in "Transformers 3". A darker more introspective journey into the Transformers universe and their origins on Cybertron. Peter Cullen also returns as the voice of Optimus Prime. This 3rd installment in the series "won’t be as robot-heavy and there will be fewer explosions, as the film gets more into the robot character. The last time (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen) you kind of met a few of the robots. In 'Transformers 3' you’re gonna get a much cooler landscape" according to director Michael Bay. There is also preview footage of the possibility of Unicron, the planet eater, in this sequel.
Oprah Winfrey open casting calls seeking the Next Big TV Star
Oprah Winfrey is teaming up with reality show super-producer Mark Burnett for a new series on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. Mark Burnett Productions has produced such hits as The Apprentice, Survivor, and Shark Tank among many others.

Universal Pictures Ron Howard film "Heartless" open casting call in Chicago
Ron Howard is gearing up to direct a Universal Pictures feature film starring Vince Vaughn, Winona Ryder, and Kevin James. Shooting will take place from May 25, 2010 to August 6, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois. Release date is scheduled for January 14th 2011.

2010 NBC Universal “Stand-Up for Diversity” comedy talent search
The dates and locations are now set for the 2010 NBC Universal “Stand-Up for Diversity” comedy search. Comedians of diverse backgrounds are welcome to attend the open auditions. Every year NBC Universal chooses several cities across the USA and holds both auditions and live showcases of the best diverse stand-up comedians from that area. At the conclusion of the comedy talent search, a select group of comedians are flown to Los Angeles to perform for top industry players at NBC Universal and industry-wide.
