Disney Open Canine Casting Calls


Do you have a four-legged star roaming your home? Time to brush that coat out, get those canines pearly white and stick a bow in Fido's fur, because Disney is giving you an opportunity to make your pooch a star. In celebration of the releases of Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Bolt and Space Buddies on Disney Blu-ray and DVD, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is hosting a special casting call to find one camera-ready canine for a bark-on role in an upcoming Buddies film called "Santa Buddies"!

The auditions will feature dogs strutting their stuff on a catwalk, and auditioning in front of friends, fans, and furry creatures a like.The Beverly Hills Chihuahua catwalk requires participants to arrive "camera ready" in the style of Beverly Hills Chihuahua...glamour, fashion & doggy bling with outrageous outfits!

The Bolt runway is looking for all types of dogs, action star and super heroes full of talent and tricks!

Auditions will be documented for Director Robert Vince to choose the final star. Robert Vince is CEO of Keystone Entertainment and Producer/Writer/Director for "Air Buddies", "Snow Buddies", "Space Buddies", and the upcoming "Santa Buddies".


Open Auditions for Minor League: A Football Story

About 10 roles - including a major one - will be cast at an open audition next week in Burton, Michigan for "Minor League, a Football Story," a comedy sports drama starring Pauly Shore, Scott Schwartz of Ocean’s 11, Robert Miano (who played opposite Al Pacino in "Donnie Brasco"), and Ernest Miller of "The Wrestler".

"Minor League," an independent film, will be released in select theaters and on DVD, though a national release is possible. It is fully budgeted, with production due to start March 23 and filming set for April.

Producers are looking for male and female actors in all age groups over 18, with locals getting preference.

Story:

A minor league football franchise is down on its luck when a rich businessman (Pauly Shore) arrives in town with an offer to buy it. But he gets turned down when he wants to replace most of the players. So instead, he creates a league of his own, stealing the other league's coach (Robert Miano) and top players. The old league's owner is left to assemble a new team in time for the season - and the big game against Shore's team.

Guiding Light Open Casting Call

The CBS daytime drama "Guiding Light" is looking for people of all ages, types, ethnic backgrounds and gender to appear as extras when the soap opera goes on location in Orlando later this month.

Guiding Light star Murray Bartlett ('Cyrus') and casting director Rob Decina will be holding an open casting session to cast talent for the show's location shoot taping at Universal Orlando Resort from March 16 - March 21. Cast and crew will be taping scenes throughout Universal Studios Florida®, Universal's Islands of Adventure® and Universal CityWalk® for episodes that will air in mid to late April.

The story surrounding the trip focuses mainly on Bill (Daniel Cosgrove) and Lizzie (Marcy Rylan) as they try to rekindle their love. Bill wants to give Lizzie the childhood she never had as a Spaulding, and whisks her away to Universal Orlando Resort. But Lizzie's family and friends are never far behind...

NBC Universal open casting call for Native American Actors

Talent representatives from NBC Universal will be meeting with Native American actors for non-specific roles in March, 2009. This open call is designed to increase diversity in NBC Universal's expanding talent pool for Universal Pictures films and NBC television programs. The event is being sponsored by the DiverseCity NBC and the NBC Talent Diversity Initiative.
