Open Auditions for Nick Jr. show offer chance to star in YO GABBA GABBA! Live On Stage in Austrailia

Thousands of Aussie kids get the chance of a lifetime to enter a cool competition and meet Yo Gabba Gabba! stars Brobee and Foofa at Myer Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne City Stores in the April school holidays.

Myer will host these open auditions, giving some lucky kids the chance to star in the world premiere of Nick Jr. presents YO GABBA GABBA! Live On Stage.

Yo Gabba Gabba! is the coolest children’s TV series on the planet, and was voted the Best Children’s Show in Sydney Morning Herald’s 2008 Couch Potato Awards. The show features funky host DJ Lance Rock, five wacky character friends, a bunch of super-fun segments plus special celebrity guests including Jack Black, Elijah Wood and skateboard superstar Tony Hawk.

One of the most popular segments is Cool Tricks, where kids demonstrate a ‘cool trick’. Whether playing a recorder through the nose, skating a half-pipe or just making silly sounds, Yo Gabba Gabba! has shown the world the possibilities are endless and there is nothing kids can’t do!

Open auditions will be held at Myer city stores in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in the school holidays from Thursday 16 - Saturday 18 April. Kids can come along and perform their ‘Cool Trick’ in front of the Nick Jr. and Myer judges, who will then choose the top six coolest kids per state to perform at the live shows in May!

Until Wednesday 8 April, parents can also enter their kids by uploading a video of their ‘Cool Trick’ to the Nick Jr. website. From funny faces to playing a musical instrument, entries are open to anyone between the ages of 3 to 12. Anyone who enters online will also get the chance to compete on stage at the Myer store auditions in their home city.

Kids must be accompanied by a legal guardian to the open auditions and must have parental permission when entering online through the Nick Jr. website. For more information, go to Nick Jr.
