Casting Call for Children to be news anchors for Kids TV Network in Atlanta, GA

KT 2 News is a news show for kids by kids. The production is the brain child of student director Lazara Leonard. Leonard’s lifetime association with the entertainment industry coupled with her drive to showcase the talent of children gave rise to KT 2 News. This exciting new show was born from her desire to work with children who, for one reason or another, had limited exposure in the entertainment field, but could easily be considered Atlanta’s “next big thing. The show began airing once a week on Wednesdays at 6pm April 8th, 2009.

The shows producers and casting directors are seeking outgoing energetic youth who are interested in working on the show as news anchors, reporters, weather reporters, sports reporters, food critics, fashion reporters, and entertainment reporters. All reporting is from a kid’s perspective. The KT 2 News “kid staff” has input in front of the camera and behind the camera. They help to decide what events to cover and how to cover them.

Parents this is a weekly news show that has to air pre-produced materials that will be shot between 1 to 3 days per week at times.

A time consuming, long term commitment is required to meet the show's initial goals.

Your children must be able to learn improv, must be outgoing, must be able to take direction, and that all parents must be easy to work with.

Flexibility is required as some of the shows must be taped with little or last minute notice! Even though the show's producers do respect that your kids, at times, might have other commitments, they will try their best to work with them. But above all - this show must be a priority!
