Feature Film "The Dead Can't Dance" Open Casting Call in Wichita, KS

Harmy Films and Prairie Fire Productions are casting for zombie extras and vocal auditions for character of Male Radio Announcer. Any interested individuals encouraged to audition. No experience necessary, but headshot and resumes accepted. Non-union. Ages 14 and up preferred.

Primary shoot will be June 6-14 at the Independent School, 8301 E. Dougas, with extras needed on weekends and evenings. Other shoots will be in late June and July, primarily weekends, in various locations. There is no pay. Zombies will be asked to provide own wardrobe. Makeup artist will be provided.

Auditions for zombie extras: Will consist of zombie characterization exercise, basically acting like a zombie. They are looking for the "traditional zombie" variety - slow and dumb (think "Shaun of the Dead" and "Night of the Living Dead"). You will audition according to arrival time (people can arrive as early as 6 p.m.), and you will be asked to fill out paperwork including a release form. Minors will need parent or guardian present to sign paperwork.

Vocal auditions for Male Radio Announcer character Will consist of a reading from the script. Your entire face will not be seen on screen, but your mouth will be shown talking into a microphone. We are looking for radio-friendly voices with a little sarcasm, some attitude and comic timing. This is a recurring character in the script. Actual dates of production for this character will most likely be late summer/early fall at a location to be announced. You will be asked to sign a release form.

This film is a comedy with dramatic and horror overtones. It centers around three Native American men who discover they are somehow immune to a mysterious plague that is turning everyone else into zombie-like creatures.

Casting for male lead role in feature film "Opposite Blood"

The casting director for the upcoming feature film "Opposite Blood is looking for a male lead role. Must be Hmong and can speak fluently in Hmong and English. The project is being produced by 5Brothers/WWB motion pictures. Filming will take place in Minnesota this summer, 2009.

Wt: 155 to 160 lbs
Must be athletic, martial artist, gymnastic and dance.
Sharp, look mean and tough.
Experience in acting, drama, and theater are preferred.

Story Summary:

The story of "Opposite Blood" is about two brothers with two different blood streams. One is a cold blood killer and the other is a young innocent individual. The innocent brother is caught between his cold blood brother and a multimillionaires mafia boss. The mafia boss is the one who made their lives miserable. As soon as the two brothers found out what happened in the past, the mafia is only allow them to stay alive 24 hours. Thus, a deadly female assassin is already only the way to get rid of the two brothers and the missing puzzle carrier. The missing puzzle carrier is the nightmare of the mafia boss. Beside the mission of the deadly female assassin, the mafia boss utilized his power and money to exchange for his life.

Open Casting Call for lead role in new Alloy Entertainment series "Private"

Alloy Entertainment, the production company behind Gossip Girls has announced an open casting call for a lead role their new internet based series "Private", the popular teen-mystery novels by author Kate Brian. This is Alloy Entertainment’s second original web series, having recently launched its UTA-backed "Haute and Bothered" on Teen.com.

The Private web series will be directed by Dennie Gordon who has worked on numerous television show and the movie What a Girl Wants. The series is set to begin shooting on June 29th and will wrap on July 15th. The web series will air sometime in July 2009 on the marketing website’s video hub, Teen.com.

Those who want to audition for roles in the web series may download one of three available 60-second scripts for the role of "Kiran", film the video, then upload the short to the website.

Fans will vote for their favorite video and 15 entrants will win prizes. Producers of the show will select their top three favorites who will take part in a reality series and compete for a role on the web show.
