Warner Brothers holding open call for Stunt Performers in New Orleans

The stunt coordinator for the upcoming feature film "Green Lantern", Gary Powell, is holding an open call for stunt performers in the New Orleans area. Those interested must be strong in fighting and in dialogue. The Warner Brothers film will begin shooting March, 2010 in the New Orleans area. The release date is set for June 17, 2011.

Gary Powell has worked as stunt coordinator on such films as "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", "The Bourne Ultimatum", and the recently completed Denzel Washington film "Unstoppable".

Story:

A Green Lantern protects every sector of outer space, possessing a power ring that uses a powerful green energy to do anything within the limits of the user's imagination and will power. When the Green Lantern assigned to this sector of space finds himself dying on planet Earth, he tells the ring to find a suitable successor. The chosen replacement, hot-shot test pilot Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds), stumbles upon a crashed alien aircraft, he absorbs the aliens' powers and finds himself pitted against foes with equally powerful supernatural powers.

Open Call for Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw feature film in Nashville

The producers of Love Don't Let Me Down, a feature film starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw, are seeking 2,000-2,500 extras for a concert scene featuring the Oscar-winning actress. McGraw will welcome the crowd when the filming takes place February 2, 2010 at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. The scene depicts the moment when superstar singer Kelly Canter (played by Paltrow) performs at a comeback concert. Appearing as her opening acts in the scene are Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) and Garrett Hedlund (Tron Legacy). All of the actors will perform to pre-recorded tracks of songs written by Nashville songwriters. Also performing are the Lost Trailers, an opening act on McGraw's upcoming tour. McGraw portrays Canter's manager-husband in the film directed by Shana Feste. Extras seeking to participate as audience members will be admitted to the Municipal Auditorium at 4:00pm. All participants must be at least 18 years old.

Great American Country TV star Storme Warren will keep things hopping by introducing musical acts and distributing special prizes. The producers have invited Nashville-based charity SOLES4SOULS to be their partner in the event. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring pairs of new or slightly worn shoes (banded or tied together) that the charity will collect at the event to support the Haitian relief efforts. Guests will be admitted to the Nashville Municipal Auditorium (417 Fourth Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37201) at 4PM. THEY SHOULD PLAN TO STAY UNTIL 11PM. The Lost Trailers will perform at 4:30pm!! Open Casting Call for 82nd Academy Awards Dancers

Open dance auditions for the 82nd Academy Awards telecast will be held on Friday, January 22, 2010 and Saturday, January 23, 2010 at CenterStaging in Burbank, California. Cast dancers will perform live during the Academy Awards show on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood and Highland Center.

The auditions are open to professional-level male and female dancers in the contemporary and hip-hop styles who are between the ages of 18 and 30. The Oscars telecast producer Adam Shankman, who began his career as a dancer and once performed on the Oscar show, will be choreographing the audition numbers with associate choreographers Anne Fletcher and Jamal Sims.
