Open casting call for ABC hit show 'Shark Tank' Cycle 2 in Los Angeles

The hit ABC television show "Shark Tank" is conducting a national search to find the next successful and possibly wealthy entrepreneurs, inventors, businesspeople, dreamers, promoters, creators and innovators. In each episode, budding entrepreneurs are given an amazing opportunity to make their dreams come true.

Whether you have just an idea, a start up, or are already up and running successfully but looking to expand, if you feel you have a money-making business or idea and need financial help, then Shark Tank is the show for you. The casting directors are looking for aspiring entrepreneurs who can pitch their breakthrough business ideas, products, properties and services to moguls in hopes of landing investment funds.

If chosen, the Sharks - five self-made, brilliant, but tough investors - could be willing to invest their own personal cash and give you the funds you need to kickstart your idea. But the Sharks aren't just out to invest money. They also have a goal to own a piece of your next big idea. Who are the Sharks? Real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran, infomercial industry pioneer Kevin Harrington, technology innovator Robert Herjavec, fashion icon Daymond John, and financial expert Kevin O'Leary. And in season 2, successful businessman and comedian Jeff Foxworthy will join the panel for 3 episodes.

This is your chance to meet the Shark Tank Casting Teams in person, so come prepared to wow and dazzle them with your product/business/idea. Be advised that security may check your bag and you are responsible for your own parking. They do not validate.

Open Casting Call for CBS TV series 'Hawaii-Five-0' actors and extras

The new CBS crime drama 'Hawaii-Five-0' is currently in production and casting for principal actors, day players, extras, and stand-ins is underway. There will be an open casting call on August 28, 2010 for both speaking and non-speaking roles. The casting directors, Rachel Sutton and Julie Carson are looking to cast people of all ages, races and backgrounds for upcoming shoots to play the parts of bikini girls, surfers, tourists, locals, etc.

The original series aired from September 20, 1968 to April 4, 1980. This new version of Hawaii Five-0 is set in present-day Hawaii and is spelled 'Hawaii Five-0' with the last character a zero instead of a capital letter such as the original series was spelled. The name of this television series comes from the fact that Hawaii was the 50th state to join the United States.

The series regulars and most of the guest stars are cast out of Los Angeles, and the rest of the casting is done in Hawaii. The series shoots in Oahu, Hawaii and is under AFTRA contract. Hawaii Five-0 premieres with a sneak preview September 13, 2010 at Sunset on the Beach at Waikiki. The show will join the network's 2010–2011 fall lineup on September 20, 2010.

Story:

A contemporary take on the classic series about a new elite federalized task force whose mission is to wipe out the crime that washes up on the Islands’ sun-drenched beaches. Detective Steve McGarrett, a decorated Naval officer turned cop, returns to Oahu to investigate his father’s murder and stays after Hawaii’s governor persuades him to head up the new team: his rules, her backing, no red tape and full blanket immunity to hunt down the biggest “game” in town. Joining McGarrett is Detective Danny “Danno” Williams, a newly relocated ex-New Jersey cop who prefers skyscrapers to the coastline but is committed to keeping the Islands safe for his 8-year-old daughter; and Chin Ho Kelly, an ex-Honolulu Police Detective wrongly accused of corruption and relegated to a federal security patrol, who is also a former protégé of McGarrett’s father. Chin’s cousin, Kono, is a beautiful and fearless native, fresh out of the academy and eager to establish herself among the department’s elite. McGarrett vows to bring closure to his father’s case while the state’s brash new FIVE-0 unit, who may spar and jest among themselves, is determined to eliminate the seedy elements from the 50th state.
