Warner Bros. open casting call for 10-13 yo boy for feature film 'Dolphin Tale'

Alcon Entertainment and Warner Brothers are in pre-production on the upcoming 3D feature film 'Dolphin Tale' starring Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd and Harry Connick, Jr. The casting directors are holding an open casting call/talent search for a 10 - 13 year old Caucasian boy who is able to swim well.

No acting experience is necessary. This role is the ONLY role they are looking for at this open call.

Character Description:

[SAWYER NELSON] He's 11 years old, Caucasian, small, introverted, a child genius, brilliant at tinkering but not interested in regular school. Some years ago Sawyer s father walked away from his family, and Sawyer became dependent upon the company of his older cousin, Kyle. But now Kyle has enrolled in the Army and ships out, leaving Sawyer to fold into himself, much to the worry of his mother. But while riding his bike, he happens upon a shoreline incident where a dolphin has been severely hurt in a crab trap. While trying to help, Sawyer makes a connection with the young dolphin that sparks a curiosity that blossoms into a driving force to save the dolphin s life.
