NASA Web-Series open casting call for children 6 to 14 years old in Houston

From the beautiful Joy Saxon of "Joy Kids Downtown" and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in Houston, TX comes a new web-series on the International Space Station and Robonaut. There will be an open casting call for kids in the Houston area to host the show. Shooting will begin in mid-July, 2011.

Robonaut is a dexterous humanoid robot built and designed at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. Robonaut (R2B) was successfully launched and boarded the International Space Station on February 24, 2011. R2 is the first humanoid robot in space. R2, now unpacked, will be initially operated inside the Destiny laboratory for operational testing, but over time, both its territory and its applications could expand.

Joy Saxon runs Joy Kids Downtown in Houston. When Joy was eight years old, her mother created and produced a show called "Kids TV Express", which was written, directed, and filmed by kids for kids. The show won two national awards AND aired on PBS Austin and KVC-13 Austin. Joy anchored the show for over a decade starting at 8 years of age, and has since appeared in numerous TV shows, commercials, films, and stage productions. She also has extensive training in theatre and acting.
