Filming on "Stage Fright" begins September 6, 2012 in Ontario, Canada.
AB Media Publishing, LLC

The boutique motion picture production company Serendipity Point Films is in pre-production on the horror-musical feature film "Stage Fright", which is being described as Glee meets Scream. The film will feature lot's of singing and dancing kids and teens, as the story takes place at a musical theatre camp. An open casting call is being held for dancers from the ages of 8 through 16 (or appear to be in that age range) to perform for the film's choreographer. In addition, many background performers of the same age range are being cast, although not at this open call. Background must email their photo and contact information in to the extras casting directors.

"Stage Fright" centers on a beautiful and talented teen named Camilla Swanson who works in the kitchen at a snobby musical theatre camp. Camilla ends up landing a role in a Broadway bound showcase at the camp, but soon after rehearsals begin, campers start disappearing. Turns out, the campers are being victimized by a masked slasher named Metal Killer who screams death metal while hunting down every last one of his sworn enemies - the pretentious musical theatre snobs. The film is a fun-filled and frightening horror story that skewers gleeful musical theatre people while they sing their hearts out - literally.

Starring in "Stage Fright" is Allie MacDonald playing the lead role of Camilla Swanson. MacDonald started singing and acting at the age of six, and taught herself to play the guitar and was songwriting by the age of 12. After high school, she was selected to attend the Canadian College of Performing Arts, where she studied classical and musical theatre, vocal technique and performance and many forms of dance and physical theatre. Douglas Smith plays Camilla's brother Buddy Swanson. Smith is also a musical composer, and is in a band called "Alaskan Summer". Musician, singer-songwriter, record producer, and actor Meat Loaf will play the role of Roger McCall, the fallen-from-grace Broadway producer, and current director of Camp Center Stage, who desperately tries to keep the camp's show going while campers start to disappear.

Sundance Film Festival Award winning filmmaker Jerome Sable will direct from a screenplay that he wrote himself. Sable also composed the music for the film and wrote the lyrics with Eli Batalion. Jerome Sable is a writer-director and composer who creates genre-bending musicals for film, television, and theatre. In addition to the Sundance Award, his short film "The Legend of Beaver Dam" also won a Screamfest Best Short Film Award, Austin Fantastic Fest Best Horror Short Award, Dallas International Film Festival Grand Jury Prize, and has screened at over 75 film festivals worldwide. Sable grew up in Montreal, Quebec where he studied piano and music theory at the McGill Conservatory of Music. He received his Bachelor of Arts with honors in philosophy from Brown University and his Masters of Fine Arts from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Vice President of Production for Serendipity Films Ari Lantos will produce. Jonas Bell Pasht will also produce. Mark Musselman will Executive Produce. Entertainment One Films has acquired Canadian distribution rights.
