Wonder Works Films and Horrorflix Entertainment are in pre-production on the suspense horror feature film "Must Love Horror", and the producers have announced an open casting call on September 22nd for lead roles, supporting roles, and extras. Wonder Works and Horrorflix are also in pre-production on a second horror feature film titled "Sin Her Scared", which will be filmed back-to-back with "Must Love Horror". Roles in both films are up for grabs at the open casting call, where selections will be made that same day.
"Must Love Horror" centers on avid horror film fanatic Edgar who makes plans to spend Halloween night at home watching scary movies with his girlfriend Annabelle. As the two watch the horror films, the gory, macabre worlds of the movies that he loves suddenly come crashing into reality. "Must Love Horror" promises to walk the line between traditional slasher horror genre and alter-states reality of early David Cronenberg films.
Independent filmmakers Brett O. Walker and Christopher Coffel have written the original screenplay for "Must Love Horror". The two made their feature film debut in 2012 when they wrote and produced the extremely entertaining action comedy feature film "On the Count of 3" which featured the legendary International Horror and Sci-Fi Hall of Fame inductee actor Lloyd Kaufman.
Yossi Bechor and Mekaiela Rey will executive produce "Must Love Horror". Yossi is CEO of Wonder Works Films And HorrorFlix Inc. He handles the rights to approximately 340 Licensing. He is also a feature film producer and distributor. He was recently labeled The Most Unlikely Movie Mogul by The Hollywood Reporter. His career has taken to him to all corners of the earth, and producing over 300 films in 20 years. Melaiela Rey is an very talented actress and executive producer. She recently served in the casting department on the Walt Disney Pictures feature film "The Lone Ranger', and as a location assistant on the Universal Pictures feature film "Lone Survivor". Rey is also CEO of Communications and Public Relations at Youth Seeking Change, and she also supports a number of other humanitarian organizations and environmental protection groups.
"Sin Her Scared" Los Angeles Open Casting Call Details
The following open casting call information was given to me directly by the film's Executive Producer, Mekaiela Rey.
The producers for the suspense horror feature film "Must Love Horror" are holding an open casting call in Los Angeles. Both SAG-AFTRA members and non-union actors are welcome. The following roles are available:
[EDGAR] Man in his late 20's. An avid horror film fanatic. Lead role.
[ANNABELLE] Girl in her late 20's - early 30's. Edgar's girlfriend. Supporting role.
[ELI] Older gentlemen 40-50. Supporting role.
[LEE] Male, late 20's. Annabelle's brother. Principal extra role.
Extras of all types and any ethnicity are also needed. Must speak english.
In addition to the above roles, the following roles are available for the horror feature film "Sin Her Scared" which will be filmed back-to-back with "Must Love Horror":
[KANE TANNER] Male, 20's-30’s. Filmmaker. He is married to FBI Agent, Marianne Tanner, for 10 years. Lead role.
[MARIANNE TANNER] Female, 20's-30’s. FBI Agent, married to Kane Tanner. Lead role.
[BRETT TROVONE] Male, late 30’s. FBI Agent, Marianne’s Partner, African American, good looking-athletic built, is
needed to help her crack her case. Supporting role.
[EMILY CHASEN] Female, early 20's. Younger version of Marianne, dressed in wedding dress similar to Marianne's. Long dark hair, hazel eyes. Supporting role.
[BUDDY BROXTON] Male, 40's. Pickaxe killer, wears overalls, go-tee.
[JENNA McQUEEN] Young girl. Victim of Buddy Broxton. Principal extra role.
[JUDAS] Killer Male. Age open. Extra role.
[EMILY CHASEN'S MOM] Early 50's. Speaks on TV with News Anchor.
[EMILY CHASEN'S DAD] Mid 50’s. Stands next to Emily Chasen's mom while she speaks on TV.
[YOUNG MARIANNE] Victim of child molestation and of the occult by 'Cult Leader', who is also Kane’s Uncle.
[YOUNG KANE] Young Kane Tanner seen participating in the occult.
[CULT LEADER] Kane Tanner’s Uncle, seen leading ceremonies among his chosen cult followers.
[CULT MEMBERS] Dressed in long black hooded gowns, participate in Cult Leader’s ceremonies.
