Warner Bros. Pictures 'The Dark Knight Rises' open casting calls in Pittsburgh

Note: "The Dark Knight Rises" has been using the working titles of "Magnus Rex" and "Fox Hills Green". A working title is the temporary name of a film used during its development. Working titles are used primarily for two reasons - the first being that an official title has not yet been decided upon and the working title is being used as a filler for naming purposes, the second being to intentionally disguise the production of a high profile film. In some cases a working title may ultimately be used as the official title. This "title ruse" is now a very common practice by which these high-profile films or television series is given a fake working title to keep its production a secret, and to prevent price gouging by suppliers, casual theft and undesirable attention. It this case, I assure you that the title of this film will be "The Dark Knight Rises".

The third and final installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman film series is currently in production and the Pittsburgh casting directors are holding open casting calls for extras, stand-ins, and photo doubles. The Pittsburgh portion of shooting on "The Dark Knight Rises" will take place from July 28, 2011 through August 21, 2011 on a Wednesday through Sunday schedule. Many of the scenes are filmed during the day, and some are at night.

"The Dark Knight Rises" is currently filming in Croyden, UK and then will move along to Glasgow, Scotland in late June, 2011. Production will return to the U.S. in mid-July where filming will continue in Pittsburgh and then in New York.

The Screen Actors Guild currently lists the filming dates for "The Dark Night Rises" as May 6, 2011 through November 14, 2011. The release date is scheduled for July 20, 2012.

Story:

Bonnie Parker (Hilary Duff) wanted something different… something exciting. Clyde Barrow (Kevin Zegers) wanted to be remembered. When their worlds collided, the rest became history. In a small Texas town in the 1930’s Depression, Bonnie Parker had dreams of becoming an actress or perhaps a poet. She knew more than anything that she wanted out – out of poverty, away from Texas, and she wanted a love story that would never end. Clyde Barrow grew up poor. He loved guns, cars, and getting noticed. It was his love for the finer things that would cost him his freedom. It is his loss of freedom that changes the boy to a man, and a man into a killer. The Story of Bonnie and Clyde begins with a love that cannot be broken, but Clyde’s love of money and excitement and his fear of returning to the Texas prison system leads them both into a world of violence. The story unravels, revealing a love story that has surpassed the decades. Every moment leads the couple into a web of no return, which will leave the audience breathless. This is a new account of the lives of the infamous Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. This telling will uncover times in their lives that have never been seen on the big screen before. What began as a beautiful love story, ends as one of the most remembered ambushes in history. This film will take you into the life and times of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. This is The Story of Bonnie and Clyde.
