Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and DreamWorks SKG are holding open casting calls for a young male actor between the ages of 10 to 14 to play a street-smart kid for its upcoming film "Real Steel". Individuals can also submit video auditions through the official casting web site. Shooting will take place in Detroit, Michigan beginning June, 2010. The release date is set for October 7, 2011.
What they are looking for:
MAX (LEAD): Male, 10-14 years old. He's a street-smart, tough, charming kid with a hard, untrusting outer shell which hides a warm enthusiastic spirit beneath. A complicated, strong-willed and resourceful boy.
● Nothing to prepare.
● No acting experience necessary.
● Just show up. First come, first served.
● They have limited space, so please bring only one parent or guardian.
